The Department of the History of Art, which operates within the Faculty of History, is a vibrant centre for postgraduate students. It offers a one-year taught postgraduate MSt degree in the History of Art and Visual Culture. The Faculty also contributes to two interdisciplinary degrees within the Humanities Division.
MSt in Women's, Gender, and Sexuality Studies
This programme brings together the contributions of five Humanities faculties (Classics, English, History, Medieval and Modern Languages, and Philosophy).
It encompasses wider interdisciplinary perspectives (e.g. in Chinese studies, theology, and gender and development), and offers exciting scope to follow distinctive independent intellectual pathways.
MSt Medieval Studies
This programme is aimed at students who wish to follow courses in more than one discipline in medieval studies, and who are keen to extend their skills.
The degree is supported by several Faculties within the Humanities Division (History, English Language and Literture, Medieval and Modern Languages), demonstrating the University’s tremendous wealth of scholarship in the period.
