Dr. Pryluka is an assistant professor in the Department of History at The City College of New York – CUNY and a fellow at the Koch History Centre at the University of Oxford for the 2026–27 academic year.
Research Interests
Dr. Pryluka is a historian of modern Latin America and the world, with interests at the intersection of economic, social, and environmental history. His current book project, Developing Consumers: A History of Wants and Needs in Postwar South America, shows how developmental policies to modernize material life reshaped the region in the postwar decades by altering perceptions of welfare and material needs.
